Concerto di Capodanno coi Tre Tenori

There is no more quintessentially Italian way to bid your farewell to the old year and to greet the new one than with the Three Tenors’ celebratory concert at the Teatro Flaiano in the heart of Rome. Concerto di Capodanno coi Tre Tenori is an annual tradition that attracts connoisseurs of Italian music and culture from around the world, and either one of its two performances – on December 31 and January 1 – will make your New Year’s celebration positively unforgettable.
The programme is a venerable selection of Italian and European classics. In the first part of the concert, you will enjoy excerpts from Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni, L’elisir d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti, Tosca and Turandot by Giacomo Puccini, and La Traviata and Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi, among other stellar numbers. The second part features beloved Christmas songs, like ‘Adeste fideles’, ‘White Christmas’ or ‘Jingle Bells’, as well as ‘Radetzky-Marsch’ and ‘An der schönen blauen Donau’ by Johann Strauss Father and Son respectively – two undeniable New Year’s classics.
Apart from the powerful and rich voices of the Three Tenors, Concerto di Capodanno coi Tre Tenori features a string ensemble and a grand piano that provide the accompaniment but also sometimes take the lead with confidence and holiday cheer. Ring in the New Year in true Italian fashion at Rome’s Teatro Flaiano!
